Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God". The kingdom of God, it is not a political kingdom. It is not some euphoric place. It is a place of the heart.
We all like trips. We look forward to our yearly vacation. Some like trips to the ocean, cabin in the mountains, but for every Christian there is a trip we all need to take. A trip that covers three scenic places. That is the Altar, the Cross and a trip to the Heart of Jesus, the Love of God. A trip worth taking.
Tony explains Luke 9:23-24. To be filled with the Holy Spirit, to receive Jesus Christ you have to be first willing to receive him and second ready to receive him. No pastor, no church can give you Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. It can give you the God’s Word. But you have to be willing and ready to receive what God offers.
God has a plan and purpose for you. You need vision for God’s plan and purpose for your life. Vision will help you see three things. It will help you visualize your faith motivate you to use your spiritual gifts by faith, and overcome opposition.
Tony explores the idea of lifting Jesus up. Put Jesus first. When all is said and done, Jesus is the only One that matters. When Jesus is lifted up everything else is now made well.
